Access Hall

Fukuoka Airport to Hakata Station only takes five minutes on the subway! It is super convenient!

Fukuoka Airport is often described as "the most convenient airport in Japan." You'll always find buses coming and going at the domestic or international terminal. Express and fixed routes provide travelers with access to various locations. These bus networks helps connect the airport to places both inside and outside Fukuoka prefecture. Not only that, the Domestic Passenger Terminal Building and Fukuoka Airport Station (Fukuoka City Subway) are directly connected, making the airport easily accessible. It is only a five minute subway ride to Hakata Station, a major transportation hub that serves as a sort of land-based gateway to the surrounding area, and an awesome shopping district, Tenjin is just a ten minute trip on the subway. Keep reading if you would like to find out more about the Access Hall, which is located on the second floor basement (B2F) inside the airport's Domestic Passenger Terminal Building!
Information for passengers taking domestic flights

Once you have landed and passed through security, be sure to make your way over to the B2F. You can access this area via the domestic arrivals lobby on the first floor (1F). Once you get to the Access Hall, you'll notice a huge see-through elevator! You'll find the subway ticket gates right in front of you! JR Hakata Station is just two stops away from Fukuoka Airport on the subway. Hakata is a huge station that has links to the Shinkansen (bullet train) and various limited express trainlines. Hakata Bus Terminal is located next door to the station. This means that visitors can access lots of inter-city highway bus routes, making it easier to get to cities all over Kyushu and Japan.

In the Access Hall, there is an escalator that takes visitors from the B2F straight up to the second floor (2F). At the 2F, you will find "the foodtimes." Visitors can try all kinds of local Fukuoka specialities inside this impressive food court. There's also a number of souvenir shops for anyone looking to pick up a few items. If you head up to the third floor (3F), you'll find "Ramen Runway." This area of the airport is lined with popular ramen restaurants. Definitely stop by if you are a fan of noodles! The fourth floor (4F) is home the Observation Deck. It is well worth a visit... The views are amazing! There is a lot to experience inside the airport before catching your outbound flight. You can enjoy delicious food, see the planes on the tarmac, and take a stroll around the facility!
Information for passengers who have taken international flights

There is free shuttle bus to the Domestic Passenger Terminal Building that you can find just outside the exit. There are two bus stops on the route. You can get off at either the North or South section of the domestic terminal. If you are planning to use the subway, make sure to use the "Domestic Terminal South" stop.

The entrance to Fukuoka Airport Station (Fukuoka City Subway) is right beside the "Domestic Terminal South" bus stop. You won't be able to miss it (the entrance is pictured below)!
