On Monday 3rd July 2017, a seminar to promote the appeal of Fukuoka Prefecture was held alongside a joint reception staged with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) at the Iikura Guest House. The 300 or so guests in attendance included the likes of Fukuoka Prefecture Governor Ogawa, Fukuoka Prefectural Assembly Chairman Higuchi, representatives from Embassies based in Japan and the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as a number of business officials. In the reception, there was local Fukuoka confectionery made using fresh ingredients, alongside displays introducing tourist attractions and traditional handicrafts. asianbeat had set-up a booth at that the event to provide visitors with more information about how the website shares all the charming aspects of Fukuoka in multiples languages. There was also a performance that featured the new musical app "KAGURA," which has been garnering attention both at home and abroad.
