From August 26th to October 1st, The "MARVEL / AGE OF HEROES EXHIBITION" at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum! This is the same exhibit that was in Tokyo that had over 300,000 visitors earlier this year! We got the opportunity to go and check-out what it looks like inside!

#17 My First Tea Party in Chicago
In July I went to an event in Chicago! I have been to various places in America before, but this was my first time in Chicago. ANA currently fly direct from Japan, so the trip is pretty straight forward! Chicago is famous for many things, including Garrett Popcorn, who even have a store in Harajuku, which always has lines of customers waiting to get in.

#16 My First Tea Party with Swiss Lolitas!
In early June I celebrated my birthday and also got the chance to travel to Europe! The trip was a mixture of work and pleasure! I have been to various parts of Europe before, such as France, Italy, and Spain. This time I got to go back to Italy, but also visited Switzerland for the first time!

The first "KITAKYUSHU INTERNATIONAL MANGA COMPETITION" was a great success, which welcomed an incredibly high level of artwork from all over the world! The contest is back for a second year and began receiving applications from July 1st! We can't wait to see this year's 4koma (4 frame) manga strips!

#15 Misako Aoki at the "Anime Matsuri 2017" in Houston, USA!
A big event held every year in Houston, USA, the "Anime Matsuri" welcomes lots of models, cosplayers, and artists from Japan attend! This year's festival was held from 7th to 9th April and Misako Aoki was there making a guest appearance as a lolita model!

#13 Lolita fashion, a big hit in Mexico! Tea ceremony and fashion show at the "J'fest" event!
From the end of March to the beginning of April, Misako was in Mexico City to make a guest appearance at an event called "J'fest." Coincidently, ANA started a direct flight from Tokyo to Mexico City in early February!

The "Kitakyushu International Manga Competition" award ceremony! 4koma (four panel) manga strips were submitted from all over the world!
The first "Kitakyushu International Manga Competition" was a big hit! The grand prize winner was selected out of 670 applications from 20 countries and regions across the globe! An award ceremony was held to celebrate the selected works!

Made by combining the skill of craftsman from Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, the "MUJYOAN - OKAWA 1536 -" collapsible tea room was on display at the 59th Grammy Awards' official gift lounge. "Ichiran" have opened their first U.S. store in NY! And they continue to set-up new branches in their hometown of Fukuoka!
The classic tonkotsu ramen shop Ichiran have finally landed in America, opening their first store in Manhattan, New York on 19th October 2016. Given that they have since set-up their first airport store, "Fukuoka Kuko-ten," on 8th December 2016 and also re-launched the "Dazaifu Sando-ten" branch on 22nd December 2016, it is clear that Ichiran's superb ramen is gaining popularity both in Japan and abroad!
