The 1st "Kitakyushu International Manga Competition" welcomed 670 applications from 20 counties and regions around the world. This 2nd Kitakyushu Manga Museum-sponsored award featured the newly established "Junior Division," which aimed to foster young talent, and the "asianbeat FUKUOKA, JAPAN Award!" The winner of the asianbeat prize received round trip plane tickets to Fukuoka!

An exhibition of Yusuke Yoshigaki's original illustrations will be on display at the Gallery Tenjin from 13th to 20th December! Yoshigaki is an animator attached to TRIGGER Inc., the studio behind titles such as "Little Witch Academia" and "KILL la KILL!"
