"Tenjin Chikagai" is home to more than 150 shops and restaurants! The whole area is decorated in gorgeous Christmas colors during the Winter months! Discover a magical world in front of Hakata Station! Yamazaki Masayoshi helped turn on the "Hikari no Machi HAKATA" illuminations!
An event was held to turn on the "Hikari no Machi HAKATA" illuminations! The gorgeous Christmas lights have helped transform the plaza in front of Hakata Station into a magical Winter wonderland! Yamazaki Masayoshi made a special guest appearance at the fun-filled ceremony! He performed an awesome three song set, which included the hugely popular track "One more time, One more chance!" The illuminations will be up until Tuesday 7th January 2020. Stop-by Hakata this Winter and enjoy this stunning, colorful attraction light up the night sky♪

The "Hikari no Machi HAKATA" illuminations have become a Fukuoka Winter tradition. Stunning decorative lights fill the area in front of Hakata Station during this time of year. A re-modelled tree has been installed in this year's display. Walking through this sparkling world of lights makes you feel like you've entered a theme park! The illumination attraction is one of the biggest of its kind in Fukuoka!
