This will be my last article of the year! How was your 2018? It feels like ...esque words have become popular during the last year of "平成" (Heisei) in Japan. I'll be participating at overseas events during Christmas and New Year this year! This will be the first time that I have spent the New Year's period outside of Japan! Hot Summer weather is kind of like an enemy of lolita fashion! Layering garments, such as a pannier (side hoops), a blouse, and a pinafore dress can be tough for lolitas! I'm kind of relieved that the weather will get cooler as we move into Autumn! We're now in the build-up to Halloween! There was lots of events going on during the summer vacation this July. I am so grateful that I had the chance to visit China a number of time. In total, I spent 13 days in China over a one month period! China is experiencing something of lolita fashion boom right now!

#28 My first special birthday celebration - I wont be giving up on lolita fashion just because of my age!
I guess this is kind of personal, but my birthday is 3rd June. This year it fell on a "taian" (auspicious day) Sunday. To celebrate my special day I held an event called "Aoki Misako Seitansai 2018 - Hajimete no Otanjyobi-kai ha Misako dukushi" (lit.: Misako Aoki's Special Birthday - My first birthday party is full of Misako!)

#26 My first tea party in Tianjin
I went to Tianjin, China for the first time in mid-March! Tianjin is famous for their sweet chestnuts. Lolita fashion has been gaining popularity in China over the last couple of years. There's now many events taking place and I've been to China more than 10 cities throughout the country! But this was still my first visit to Tianjin! It's about 2 hours away from Beijing by car. The climate is pretty similar to Japan!

I got the chance to visit Los Angeles at the end of February. It was a little bit cold while I was there. There were days when the temperature dropped below 10 degrees! I'd only ever been to Los Angeles in the summer, so I was surprised by the chilly weather!
